Granite countertops are all the rage for a very good reason—actually several reasons. They are incomparably beautiful; they are tough and durable and they are cost effective.

This sturdy natural stone is found in the kitchens and bathrooms of most new homes. But it is increasingly found in laundry room counters, fireplace surrounds, bar tops, and even tables. Owners of older homes also make it their countertop of choice when they decide it's time to remodel.

When the time came for Roman Sharf and his wife Anna to remodel their new home in Richboro, there wasn't a moment's hesitation over whom to call to help with the kitchen and bath.

"Let's Get Stone'd was recommended to me by a friend years ago," says Sharf, "and I've used them for two houses now. You can tell the difference when you have a good contractor…I've referred them to others too."

"You name it, we did it," is how John Lukens explains the remodel of his 1954 ranch home in Lafayette Hill.

In addition to adding a family room and master bedroom suite, John and his wife Kathleen renovated most of the rest of the house in the span of just a few months. Now that they're actually living there, they love everything about it.

As in many homes, the kitchen becomes the heart and soul of the house. The family can be found gathered there day and night. Parties center around the source of food and drink; guests swarm like bees to honey.

This instinct to gather in the kitchen was at the root of the plans of Nicole and Kevin O'Brien as they laid out their remodeling ideas with Adam Karp from Let's Get Stone'd, on Route 611 in Warrington.

When Cherie and Bob Weller made the move from Ivyland to New Hope, they had many decisions to make. Fortunately, choosing which granite contractor to use for their new riverfront home was a snap. 

"Let's Get Stone'd did the kitchen counters in our shore house in Atlantic City," says Cherie Weller. "They also did our kitchen in our last house and we loved their work both times, so it was easy."
